Birdwatching Tour – Northern Route
5 Days/4 Nights
Langkawi Route – Penang – Kedah – Langkawi

Day 1: Penang to Kulim
Pick-up from Penang International Airport (PIA). Travel to Kulim (1 hr 50 min drive north east), stopping along the way for opportunistic birding, mostly paddy field species. Dinner and check-in.

Day 2: Kulim – Sungai Sedim Forest Reserve – Kuala Kedah – Langkawi
Early breakfast at the resort. Drive to Sedim Nature Reserve where we will visit Malaysia’s longest canopy Walkway. Surrounded by primary and secondary lowland rainforest and beautiful waterfalls, we will see out our first hornbills (Rhinoceros or Great) as well as target gems such as the White-crowned Forktail, Blue Whistling Thrush, Blue-crowned Hanging Parrot, Broadbills Blue-winged Leafbird, Sunbirds, Spiderhunters, Bulbuls. Lunch and drive to Kuala Perlis. Opportunistic birding along the way (1 hr 50 min drive north east). Arrive in Langkawi, dinner and check in.

Day 3: Langkawi
Breakfast at the hotel – Early Start for bird watching at different habitat on Langkawi including birding on the mangrove/wetland habitat. Lunch at local restaurant during the tour and dinner at local restaurant.

Day 4: Langkawi
Breakfast at the hotel. Early start for bird watching at different habitat on langkawi. Lunch at local restaurant during the tour and dinner at local restaurant before going back to the hotel.

Day 5: Langkawi
Breakfast at the hotel. Evening transfer to the airport for departing flight.

Included in price: Accommodation in twin sharing, all meals and land transportation, service of bird guide.
